- A 28.8 connection with a 28.8 modem requires 3200Hz of usuable
- bandwidth, while with a 33.6 modem it only requires 3000Hz of usuable
- bandwidth. Personnaly the telco equipment used in my area gives me enough
- bandwidth to use the 3429 symbol rate, which doesn't seem to rare. From
- what I've seen, the average in North America is the 3200 symbol rate, with
- only a few people being limited to less then that.. Most telcos. only
- promise you 2400Hz of usuable bandwidth, but they usualy supply much more
- then that.
